horrible me!

so i failed the blog for 30 days challenge. lol. my weekend was incredibly busy. i felt like i hardly sat down at all!

3. How long did you know each other before you started dating? for about 2 years.

4. Who asked who out? he asked me. i kind of hinted about us but he asked me!

5. How old are each of you? we are both 26, but i'm older by 4 months. and he reminds me all the time how close to 30 i am. lol.

6. Did you go to the same school? no we sure didnt. but we had mutual friends that went to the same school as i went to. so it was crazy that we didnt know eachother sooner.

7. Are you from the same home town? yes

8. Who is the smartest? him for sure. lol. its not even a question!

9. Who majored in what? neither one of us attended college. i did for a semester but thats it.

10. Who is the most sensitive? i am totally. he has his sensitive spots but mostly me for sure!

11. Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple? mexico!

12. Who has the worst temper? lol. we both have a terrible temper. but i would say he is calming down a lot more as he gets older. LOL. me on the other hand need to take a few lessons i believe!

13. How many children do you want? we have 2 kids together and he has 1 from a previous relationship and we are through. unless of course and OOPS happens. hehe!

14. Who does the cooking? we both do. i do more of it of course because i stay at home and he works his butt off but when he cooks, he makes a mean meal! i love his cooking! i miss it actually!

15. Who is more social? he is pretty social. i am to when i want to be. i guess if i am in a mood then i wont be as social but i can be pretty outgoing!

16. Who is the neat freak? well, thats a funny subject. i say neither but he will tell you HIM! lol.

17. Who is the most stubborn? we both are. very equal on this one! makes for a hard understanding in an argument!

18. Who wakes up earlier? i do! he works 2nd shift!

19. Where was your first date? our first date was at semolinas on 21st and tyler. its now senor tequila or something like that. anyway it was valentines day 2001 and we had a wonderful time! aww!

20. Who has the bigger family? he does! my family is extremely tiny. not many!

21. Do you get flowers often? not really. i'm not big on flowers i suppose. they die so soon. if they lasted months and months than maybe i could see a reason for getting them. they are def. beautiful!

22. How do you spend the holidays? oh it really just depends on who has what going on. since my family is so tiny there usually is nothing going on so we usually meet up with my parents whenever. and his family is the one that has to fight over who has what holidays [divorce]. lol.

23. Who is more jealous? me. i would of said both of us a long time ago, but like the amazing man he is, he is growing up!


24. How long did it take to get serious? well, it took us 2 years and he would have loved for it to have been sooner, but i valued our friendship ALOT and was afraid of losing him all together if we wouldnt of worked out as a couple. he is an amazing human being and i didnt want to lose him!

25. Who eats more? he does. but i'm sure he would like to throw in a little joke about how i eat a lot or something. lol.

26. What do you do for a living? he works as a mechanic for spirit aerosystems [2nd shift] and i am a home maker/photographer. i'm just starting to get things rollin' on my photography business. we'll see where that takes us!

27. Who does the laundry? oh i do! but i have my funk days where the laundry piles sky high and he MIGHT have to start a load and i'll finish it up. but its rare these days!

28. Who's better with the computer? oh him def. lol. he's my computer geek!

29. Who drives when you are together? him, hands down. he loves to drive. its a rare occasion if i drive!

30. What is your song? from this moment by shania twain. we have LOTS though. but that is our song now and forever. he heard a song on the radio a while ago and posted it on fb for me and i tear up EVERYTIME i hear. i purposefully started listing to country radio stations JUST so i can hear this song. its by trace adkins 'all i ask for anymore.'

blog blog blog! for 30 days.

today is pretty much pay bills day. not that fun and exciting but ya know, its GOTTA get done! all the while, i am trying to free up some space on my hard drive by burning old photos onto disks and filing them away. AWAY from sticking finger...cough cough...my kids!

so my friend jen down in oklahoma presented on her blog that november is national blog for 30 days month. SO, i'm gonna attempt this challenge and maybe...JUST maybe i'll get better at blogging and telling my story[ies]. lol.

almost 6 months.

wow its been awhile! well i have been reading a ton of blogs lately and i'm inspired! lol. however, i'm not at all good at writing or entertaining the next person. so i suppose you'll just have to bare with me!

sunday afternoon the kids, jacquee and i ventured to the park before nikki's open house at cheer eclipse [will come in another post]. this park is AMAZAZING! its great for all age groups. its fenced in. its entertaining enough! and i just LOVE it. so here are some UN-edited photos! oh, and please, dont make fun of me [the mom that likes to play]! ashley spun me on this thingie and it about made me throw up! i seriously was Dizzzzzy! whew! still fun!

[mothers day]

my mothers day started out with my hubs getting up early to be with the kids while i laid in bed resting longer than usual. i made plans with my mom, sister, aunt and cousin to get out to eat at my old job [el rancho]. we had such a good time it was great to have all of us together again!

after our meal, we headed to see our most beloved person who has been in heaven for almost 5 years now. she was the best grandma, mother anyone could have ever asked for. [i love you grandmie]

soon, i had to head home to pick the kiddos and the hubs up to go to his familias for a bbq! we stayed there well till 9pm but as always we had a great time over there!

learning.living.loving.

so i have started to take photography more seriously and passionately. my hubs and i are saving for me to get a better camera and equipment. i have had a passion for photography along with many different art and so i feel that its time i take it up. i look at other photographers and their talent and i want it. i want it with my art as well so i'm going to continue that too. here are some shots i have done and edited in photoshop. now, they are not the best however but i am learning.

valentine's day seems to be filled with excitement. i'm ready for it to be here. not only with so many things planned but also because it marks the day of our 8 year anniversary. can you believe it? i can't. at times it seems like it was just yesterday but on other days it seems like we have been to the center of the earth and back. its just absolutely crazy. i am more in love with him than ever before. we have had our share of good days and bad days. but ya know, i would never trade them for an instant. he is my soul mate. the man of my dreams. the man god made specifically for me.

lots to do.

its been a while since i last posted and i figured i better update. 

i have been working a lot lately and that has me stressing because not everything is getting done. i have so much to do in so little time.

*shop for clothes/shoes/hair accessories for portraits

those are the main things to get completed this week and next. this friday we are taking our first time EVER family portraits. and i'm actually really nervous about it. i'm worried the pictures wont turn out because of either the kids not cooperating and the outfits not looking well. this is probably why i have never done them professionally. its too stressful!

i have to christmas shop still. and theres never any time or enough money it seems. i'm so ready for the economy to be back on track so that my life and family can be back on track. 

2 weeks ago a commercial was shot at my work and today the commercial man brought in the demo of it and its good but i dont like the views of me. the camera makes me look fat. i know i know they say the cameras put on like 10 lbs but still. ewww! this commercial is gonna be seen on 4 or 5 different channels! the man in charge seriously looks like al pacino. its so cool.  anyway, today he offered me a job. basically i would go around to businesses to see if they need help with advertising and hopefully sell them on a commercial. it sounds like a great job and i would work with really awesome people! we'll see though. 

and one last thing that has me STRESSSSSSSSSiNG out. my 26th bday is coming up soon and i'm freaking out. i'm not ready. i dont want to get any older. i seriously dread it. sounds stupid i know. but i'm not looking forward to getting old and wrinkly and not able to move around to do for myself. yes, i know i'm still young but the closer i get to 30 just means i'm closer to 40 and then 50 and then 60 and then...and then. lol. nevermind! so ya, not excited!

*****on a fun note***** the kids and i went sledding last night. omg. it was amazing. i havent done that in YEARS. YEARS. it was scary yet so thrilling at the same time. alex and anabelle had a blast but they started complaining of being cold. so we eventually left. i'm so doing that again when it snows a lot. guarantee it!

not much. really.

i figured i should post something. i haven't in a while! as you know i started working at the ranch as i like to call it and its been pretty good so far. i've been working 10 - 10 most days and i'm pretty sore to say the least. i'm not used to all that labor. lol. i work for a mexican restaraunt and its been interesting trying to communicate with the cooks as they know only a few words in english. its been a fun time and i think i'm gonna stay there as long as possible...it still gives me time with my kids 3 days out of the week. i still get to coach cheer every practice and game, so thats nice for me. drew and i are back to not seeing much of eachother and its making it tough on us once again but we can survive this, we always do!

i've been watching a lot of the elections stuff lately and before my opinion was pretty vague and not well constructed and its really not any better but i have watched more of the debates and the national conventions. its a pretty clear picture to me who i would want to vote for. its not only the running president himself that gets me going its the running mate as well. i cant vote for a president that has a crappy running mate. i dont have it in me to think that its even a possibility. so this year i'm going to register to vote so that my voice will be heard! i hear it all the time how i complain about our selection of president yet i didnt vote. i shouldn't complain. however, this year is a different story. i want to see our country change for once, instead of decline into a hole that is forever going. i'm ready to be rallied up about my country and stand proud! bush has made it incredibly hard for americans to be proud of their country. anyway, enough about this! i obviously watched quite a bit tonight! [obama/biden 08]

[el rancho]

so i start a new job tomorrow @ [el rancho] as a waitress. never been one before so this will be very entertaining. i am working at the ranch on the weekends and hoping that one of the 10 jobs i applied for call me for the week days. we need the money desperately right now, drew is on 3 day work weeks and its rough. i'm hoping that this rough road will be over soon. although, there is talk of layoffs at [spirit] and drew is freaking out about it. we are both freaking out. the economy is not getting any better and neither are our jobs. its frustrating to say the least. we have a family to support and raise and its almost next to impossible to do with this 3 day work week crap. we barely survived before....now....its getting REALLY scary!

living with out gas for 2 weeks was enough for me. worrying how we are going to feed the kids is getting emotionally draining. i dont know what we'll do if our electric is shut off or our water is shut off. our phones are off at the moment, which really stinks. i miss my phone! here i am babbling about how bad we have it and really we dont. there are more people in worse situations i should feel lucky. and of course, i do, i have my husband and my kids and a roof. its just seriously, depressing. i hope in 20 years my children are not in our shoes. i hope they are in college and getting a degree for their future. i would never wish anyone to have to stress this much EVER.

well now that i have blabbed. i need to go. the kiddos are making dirt pies outside getting all dirty, messy and ick! hope everyone is getting by okay!

alexander james.

my lil xander turned 2 friday! i cant believe it. it seems like yesterday i was sitting on my bed fhaving contraction after contraction and drew was deciding if he should go to work or not. i told him honey, if i need you i will call you. this was 630am and by 645am my water broke. drew turned around and picked me up. i was in labor for 2 hours and after 2 pushes at 832am alexander james was born. the easiest birth i have experienced. although he came into this world so fast he knows what he wants and he goes for it. and it definitely shows in his lil 2 year old personality. he usually gets what he wants from me anyway! he's a momma's boy 100%.

alex loves ice cream, cereal, waffles, potatoes, ice, chips, cheese, pizza, okay so anything that he can shove in his mouth with one big handful! he loves to swing, play with cars, color, get into trouble, make a BILLION messes through out the day, loves to take baths, sit on my lap at the computer or when we watch movies, he loves trampolines and his nana and papa's. he has his favorite blanky that he will never part with and you cant fool him by trying to give him another one. its funny! his vocabulary is getting better. he says, no, yes, nite nite, bye bye, momma, daddy, sissy, ashley, anabelle, rocky, jacquee, nikki, tyler, bite, milk, water, car, motorcycle, plane, shoes, socks, waffle, cereal, pancake, eat, drink, dog, bath, jump, eww, sticker, ball, sucker, book, bike, wipe, poopy, wet, oww, icky, balloon, pop, phone,up, down, loud, sit, swing, sorry and more. his only real sentence he says is one more. or he puts "no" in front of whatever he doesnt want.
