3 strikes you*re out!

drew had quite a day yesterday. it was his birthday and it started out great....but by the end of the night, he was getting a little peeved.

so we checked out of the hotel and went to OTB to eat. after that we came home while he worked on his speaker box and i cleaned both bathrooms, anabelle*s room, the living room and the kitchen (i plan on doing ashley*s room, our room and the basement today). it was time for us to leave to go to our cookout over at his brother*s house. kids were playing and having fun, throwing water balloons and jumping on the trampoline. drew decided to join in on the fun and (1st strike) he threw a balloon and it nailed christian (his niece) right in the eye (he didn*t mean to do it) but she was crying pretty hard. (2nd strike) he threw a balloon at james (his mom*s husband) and missed. instead he nailed his mom*s window. after all that we got in a big circle in the living room and was playing with a beach ball. tossing, hitting, kicking it around. drew stayed out of that one since he already damaged 2 things for the evening. we were all pretty pooped out after playing that game for a good hour or more. lol. smoke break! drew decides to get on one of the kids* bike and go riding. well aparently that bike*s chain breaks unexpectedly. BECAUSE (3rd strike) drew started to go fast so that he could ramp and he bites the dust. scrapes up his arm, hands, fingers, chest and knee. it was bad. i felt so sorry for him. i wanted to take it all away. he was not too happy by the end of the night.

this weekend has turned out great so far.

friday nights performance was awesome. we did really well. i'm VERY proud of jennie and i. for getting out there in front of so many people. i think our crowd of people that showed was the loudest! hehe. i was a nervous wreck but after i got out there i didn*t want to stop. jennie and were talking about how the dance was actually a blur. i can*t remember doing some of the moves, which is kinda scary because it makes me wonder if i messed up. ohwell. i can*t wait to get back to the studio and learn more dances. its such a relief to finally enjoy something!!!

today, i did a little cleaning before my friend michelle*s brother came over (daniel) to talk to me about photography stuff and a job i landed for his neighborhood newsletter. i*ll be taking pictures of events that they hold and the newsletter goes out twice a year! i*m super super excited! he talked to some other people about me and how i*m interested in more work so i*m hoping that will land me some more jobs. i will def. need the work since i*ll be a stay at home mommie....weird to think about that. but i*m thinking i*ll enjoy it. after he left i*ve watched sooooo many flippin* movies. ALL girlie flicks too. lets see "because i said so" "13 going on 30" "pretty woman" and "just like heaven" lol. i haven*t blown away my day or anything! hehe. i*m supposed to be at the fireworks right now with jennie and her crew but drew is helping his brother move so i really didn*t feel like taking 2 kids by myself to the river festival and try to find the group. that would be too much of a scary thing. one stroller 2 kids. don*t think that would work.

well thats my weekend update so far. hopefully tomorrow we will tackle the back yard. make it look pretty again.

crazy mother*s day

today has been a wonderful day, drew got up with the kids and let me sleep in. which i slept till about 11. haven*t done that in FOREVA! then i watched 'because i said so' its a very cute movie. i really like mandy moore. she*s so cute! after that movie i watched 'pride and prejudice' also another good movie. (the kids were napping during this time so i had some me time which is mucho needed)

drew woke up from his nap and was going to work on someone*s car and then the yard. well he didn*t get to either of those. BECAUSE he went to open the garage (no auto opener) and it bows sometimes when you open it well it was about to fall on him so he used his other arm to catch the garage door and his arm went right thru the glass. he has 3 huge gashes and 1 in his head. i about passed out so i called his mother to come over while he was picking shards of glass out of his arm. when she got to our house i asked her if he should go to the ER. she didn*t think so but he is in a lot of pain. there was a lot of blood and i was trying to clean it and ATTEMPT to pull glass out but i couldn*t do it. i got really light headed.

i was sitting in the living room with both kids when i heard the noise and i for sure thought he had a car up on a jack and the car fell on him that was my first thought. my heart sunk so far into my stomach. i*m glad it wasn*t that but i HATE that he is cut up.

after that he worked on someone ELSES car (he*s getting paid for this which is nice) for a while and then we headed over to our jennie*s parents house and sat by the pool for a while and then moved to the garage and ate some bbq. yum yum. it was a lovely mother*s day. i*m sad though because i didn*t get to see my mum today. ohwell i will make it a point to see her tomorrow!

under*developed

is that even a word? (under*developed) hmm, ohwell i used it. so anyway, today my sitter told me that while she went to the doctor she took my kids with her. well, her "so called" doctor said that my 7 month old was under*developed. he says that alex should have been crawling by 6 months old. and he should be keeping his food down. well, sometimes he doesn*t keep his food down but i only notice it if when we start playing with him RIGHT after he eats or even lying him on his tummy after he eats. i know that that is what my sitter does is immediately lays him on the floor. so the doctor thought he might have 1 of 2 disorders. WHATEVER. alex has 4 teeth. he can army crawl. sit on his own and even pull himself up to a stand in his crib. he doesn*t get that much floor time at our house because of our hard wood floors. so he is in his walker A LOT. and his is so incredibly fast. he says dada and occasionally he will say momma. he waves. UGH what more should my chubby baby be doing??

anabelle was a fast learner, she was walking by 8 months. she crawled for MAYBE 2 weeks before walking. so i guess she was "under*developed" too EVEN THOUGH she was walking at 8 months.

can you tell i am a little upset?!?

another thing that gets to me. is that i have 1 half day a month. and i was SOOOOO hoping that i would be able to use that 1/2 day for myself. well my sitter told me that she believes that if i am not working then she shouldn*t either. BITE ME! ugh. i never get a break!

well.....whateva! that is all i have to say to that!

on another note: my mom and i went shopping at target. anabelle got some new shoes

adorable huh!? yeah she picked them out! then her and xander got a new outfit. i got some drapes for our big picture window. i haven*t put them up yet so i hope they will look okay! i*ve decided to do my living room in blue + brown. i love those colors! lets see what else did we get. OH YEA. got anabelle some big girl panties!! we*ll be working on potty training!!!

kansas weather

so this is the level 5 tornado that ripped thru greensburg, ks. destroyed 95% of the town. 9 people were reported dead. sad sad. it was one tornado after the other that touched there friday night. then the storm last night blew the debris back over the roads. we had a scare today. they sounded the sirens while i was napping, scared the crap out of me. but they just wanted to give us a warning in advance just in case. there was a rope tornado in anthony, ks. its been pretty stormy today. ohwell. thats good ol' kansas weather.

not much to report for the weekend. friday i went to dance class. didn*t dance much because we were deciding on our outfits. only 2 weeks left of practice. scary scary! next week we will practice wed. thurs. and friday. wow! then the next week it will be wed. and thurs and then we perform that friday! wow! sososososo nervous! ohwell. its for fun!

saturday, we didn*t do ANYTHING. just layed around the house. i did TONS of laundry and cleaned the house like a mad woman!

today, just stayed in and watched the weather. jennie, vince and the kids came over to take cover if needed. after it died down for a while jennie and i went to old navy and bought our pants for dance class. on our way home we passed an old couple that had their car on flames. scared the crap out of me. i seriously thought it was going to explode. but the fire trucks were on their way there as we passed. bad situation. poor oldies.

hopefull tonight the weather will calm down. we*ll prob. keep anabelle down stairs with us tonight! JUST IN CASE!

anniversary

today is drew and i*s one year wedding anniversary. i can*t believe its here already. its really crazy how time flies. we exchanged gifts friday because he couldn*t wait. he got me a past present and future necklace...(just for the record i just figured out how to add pics on here with the new operating system...kinda)



I gave drew a card...yes thats it because i was told by him that we didn*t have the money to get gifts so i didn*t get him anything. which usually when he tells me that i get him something anyway because i HATE not giving gifts on special days. so i felt like poop but he said it was all good. isn*t beautiful though???

tonight his mom is watching the kiddos for us so that we can have a date night. we*ll be going to dinner and a movie!! not sure what we will see. i*m going between blades of glory and 300.

**WEEKEND RECAP**

friday i worked until 730 (wasn*t happy about that) i missed 30 mins of my dance class. so i went to dance class late and missed A BUNCH. ohwell. jennie and her cousin came over to practice. and that helped. jennie and vince stayed until about 2 am they played grand turismo on PS2 while jennie and i went roller blading at 1230 in the morning. ehehe. funny.

yesterday i didn*t do much of anything. watched cartoons with anabelle in the morning and then watched a bunch of america*s next top model episodes. then jennie and vince came over again. her and i went tanning. picked up food for the men. and then her and i went roller blading at our zoo park. it was nice to have girl time! i don*t get much of that. then drew*s dad and step mom came by for a little bit sat and chatted. it was good to see them. i think the last time we saw them was valentine*s day. they had made us a cake then for our 6 year bf/gf anniversary and then last night they brought us a card for today*s anniversary! how very thoughtful.

leaving on a jet plane

so my dearest friend is leaving tomorrow for virginia. she*ll be gone for 3 months, not bad but still. i feel horrible because when our friend cass came from oklahoma for a girls weekend, i was sick so i couldn*t participate. and i really haven*t seen liz enough and i feel guilty. ugh.

so, life is busy all of a sudden. which i thought it was but wow its really taking off to a busy life style. i*m wondering if its this new branch i started at. because its HECTIC there. my first week out there and we had to call the cops on a man for committing fraud on our customer. an 82 yr old customer at that. its sad. i am really just hoping and PRAYING that we don*t get robbed. it would be my first out of 5 years of being with the company.

anyway, not really much to report. i*m kinda boring with no pictures. drew changed his operating system to linux (i think thats what its called) and i have NO IDEA how to operate it. have no clue how to get into the hard drive for pictures. its quite irritating.

OHHH xander is crawling now! he is going every where and starting to get into things. CRAZY. the other day i was picking the children up from the sitters and sonya(the sitter) and i were chatting and i had said the word "dang" and anabelle looks at me with this REALLY serious look and says "momma don't say that" and points her finger at me. i could have died. then when i picked her up to take her to the car she says "no i want to walk" so i put her down and take her hand. we get to the car and she wants to open the door. then the door opens and she says "i do it" "i get in" she is growing up so fast and becoming ms independent. tooootoooo fast. time flies.

yesterday was my first day at a new branch. THE busiest branch of fidelity. and the one that is most likely to get robbed. so it makes me nervous, but i need the new experience. i*m working with an old co*worker again. which i am glad. her and i work really well together. i am missing my old branch tho. i made friends there. i honestly cried friday and i almost made jeremy cry...lol...poor jeremy.

lets see kids are doing good. xander is becoming quite a hand full. when he is teething, there is really NOTHING to please that kid. he is getting 2 teeth in at the same time...my sitter is thinking that 2 more are trying to pop thru but i can*t see the other two. he has a total of 4 teeth cut thru the gums right now. early teether, but he is showing no interest in walking. ohwell. why let him grow up so fast? anabelle is already growing up too fast. the other day she was playing in the back yard and she was too close to the fence so i told her to come closer to the door. wanna know her response? "in a minute. i*m busy" i asked her what she was doing "nothing..." brat. and she*s learning quickly that mommy has a potty mouth....

our pup was giving me grief and i said "f*cking dog" so she says "f*ckin dog". i quickly told her not to say that any more. she says "okay" then like 2 seconds later she whispers "f*cking dog" goodness. what have i turned my daughter into. she already says "damnit" when something doesn*t go her way. i just really don*t need her to say the f*word...especially in public. how humiliating would that be?

anyway, onto other topics. drew and i are doing wonderfully. we have spent more time together which is always good. this last weekend i was TERRIBLY sick. he took the kids to his mom*s house for a dinner so that i could get some rest. then i finally needed him to come home to take care of me. well his mom decided to keep the kids over night which was SUPER SWEET. he came home rubbed my neck, shoulders, back and legs. he made me soup and 7*up and filled me with medicine. i slept so awesome! what a great husband he is!!! **that kinda sounds yoda-ish***

and my best friend is leaving for HORRIBLE virginia in less than a week....sigh.
