when and if

i get a camera i've been doing more reading of reviews and looking at sample pictures. i'm stuck between two cameras!! i don't know what to do for when the time comes i can get a new camera. here are the two cameras i am trying to decide from. and will post sample pictures too!

first is the canon powershot sd870: night pic, and macro pic.
canon is 8mp with 3x optical zoom with a 3in lcd. not sure how high the iso goes.
retail price is $350

second is the sony cybershot dsc t200(notice the cool touchscreen & it would be in red not silver): night pic and macro pic.
t200 is also 8mp with a 5x optical zoom and a 3.5 in screen. the iso goes up to 3200.
retail prices is $400

so if anyone has opinions please let me know!
