my hair.

so i tried cutting my own bangs. and at first i couldn't stop crying. i was so upset with myself. i should have waited. well tomorrow i have an appt to get them trimmed up and to get the rest of my hair trimmed. i'm excited. i'm going to a girl i went to high school with and she seems like one that i will be able to trust completely with my hair. i haven't been to a stylist since before alex was born because i'm so nervous about my hair. my last hair stylist i lost contact with and the one before that (that i absolutely loved and trusted) moved away! so i'm crossing my fingers for a good experience!! anyway. here is a before picture. one where i attempted the cut myself! i'll post a pic tomorrow of the new do!

things to love about texas.

my dear dear friend is possibly moving to texas. and the only reason i post this is because i know that the possiblity of it REALLY happening is so high up there. her hubby is a go get em type a person and he loves what he does. so if it means to advance in what he does and make more money then he is gonna do it. so in honor of my good friend cassie. i am doing some research on things to love about texas!

the landscape. the buildings! [this is austin by the way]

the galleria. this mall is awesome! i love it!

and the best "mexican" restuarant. pappasitos. omg!

and lets not forget they have an awesome flag. to go along with awesome slang!

well this gives me a great excuse to go visit her. i love love love texas. i really miss it! wish i were moving with her!

weekend review.

friday - was a pretty blah day up until i got a phone call from my sister. she came by to visit, which doesn't happen very often. so we chatted and had a good time. she stayed at thehouse while i went and picked up a child from school. and after i picked up children she left and then me and the kids went over to jacquee and rocky's house to hang out for the night. since drew works 2nd i get pretty lonely here at the house. so we ate dinner there and then waited for drew to get off work. he came by and then we watched movies till 4 am. the kids were up most the time too. crazy.




saturday - so didn't do much during the day either. pretty lazy day. i was tired from the previous night. jacquee offered for us to come over and eat dinner because she figured drew was gonna stay late at work again. so my mom came by to pick up anabelle. she wanted anabelle for a night since they dont get to keep the kids often. as soon as she showed up, it began snowing like a snowglobe out side it was so pretty!!





drew came home. i was surprised to see him so early. he brought home kfc and then him, alex and i went to jacquee and rocky's. we watched "game plan" w/ "the rock" and then played canasta. girls vs. boys and us girls stomped their asses! we were proud. but of course it was late before getting home 3am. BUT alex slept in till 11, so i was super happy about that.



sunday - woke up at 11, started getting ready for this afternoon family gathering. i got alex and myself ready, went and picked up anabelle. and then headed to nana nora's house (my mother in law) for chilli. as we were on our way, anabelle and alex were in the back. anabelle goes. "momma look at me" so i turn to look at her and her and alex are holding hands. she has her eyes closed while mumbling something and then says "amen" it was the cutest thing ever. they kept holding hands after that. it melted my heart completely!




so needless to say it's been a good day so far. getting ready to make steaks and potatoes. mmm. i'm excited about it. and then to watch "roll bounce"

just an update.

i figured i needed to maybe update a little bit before my "busy" weekend.
one day this week i went over to parents house and hung out there for a while. ate pizza, watched some of the electoral stuff, and then watched some kiddy movies so that anabelle and alex wouldn't be bored. here are some pics of the evening.

weekend review.

friday - like the rest of the weekend we didnt do much. drew worked late and i stayed up late watching a movie. there is a website that you can watch movies that are still in theatres http://www.davidmovie.com/ and some of the movies are good quality while others are HORRIBLE. so i watched atonement. its an awesome movie, although, i got 3/4 the way thru and it stopped. so i have no idea how it ends. upset me badly! so i went to bed wondering what happens. lol.

saturday - we had ashley this weekend so she helped out quite a bit around the house. i did however have to keep asking her to do things like clean her room. her and anabelle share a room and anabelle had literally destroyed it. so i asked them to clean their room. well it got somewhat done. not to what i was expecting. its better than what it was though. our basement is destroyed as well. i dont look forward to cleaning it. the kids go down there and just crash it. other kids come over and crash it. so its bad. i watched another movie called "no reservations" i actually bought this one at the store and its pretty good!! drew got home from work and he immediately left to go help his mom fix her computer. he comes back and i take a nap!! after that he gets ready to go out with his friend jason. and i go to bed. my saturday night was pretty boring.

sunday - drew ordered a new dvd player because the one we have is crapping out on us. its weird. we buy dvd's and some of them will play and others wont. we bought several dvds lately and out of those, 4 of them dont work. its like the previews play and the menu comes on to hit play and then it goes black and is stuck on 3 or 4 seconds. its weird. so i'm hoping now we will be able to watch the movies we have been waiting to watch.

today we dont have much planned. drew goes into work for a while and then i dont know what. he'll most likely come home and sleep. to catch up on the lost sleep. sigh.

**edit** after i posted this i took the kids (minus anabelle because she wasnt behaving) to village inn. we were going to go to ihop but they were loaded with people waiting. so we ate at village inn and here are some pics i took. ashley is so funny! i love her to death!






then later on i took anabelle to see "bee movie" with jennie (ashley's mom) ashley and taylor (ashley's brother). its a really cute flick. i think jennie and laughed more at it then the kids. anyway JUST IN CASE noone has seen previews heres a clip. and just for the record. my mother in law had no idea what movie we were talking about. and she even watches TONS of tv. shocks me really.

picture perfect

so after baths and getting ready for bed anabelle wanted me to take some pictures. well. they are quite interesting. we were trying to get the "perfect" shot. and it didnt quite happen! enjoy!

valentine's day.

i had decided to celebrate v day on the 13th because my sister in law offered to watch the kids for us so i took the chance to do what i wanted a day early!! after i dropped the kids off i ran a few errands.

-the store for candles/rose petals/dvd/card/picture frame/stuffed animals

-came home to get ready and the house ready


my extravigant idea was to use petals and candles as a path leading to our bedroom. put petals + candles on our bed. (there was about 80+ candles all over the house, very scary but pretty at the same time) i made little instruction messages for drew to do before coming to the bedroom. very cute! he was surprised which i didnt think was possible! i had talked to his mom about my idea along with a few other people so i was a little worried they might spill the beans! anyway, he was REALLY surprised and it made me VERY happy! after our night of fun i was going to make him a nice dinner but he didnt want me to do anymore work so we went to ihop at almost 2am!


valentines day we slept in and then he surprised me with a trip to the jewelry store! i picked out a right handed ring. which is awesome! i love it! after that we had lunch together at a bbq place and then ran by to pick up the kids but they were out so we came home spent some more time together before he went in to work. the rest of the day was spent hanging out with my kids and i gave them their vday treats!
